26th Feb..Monday 2nd day of work

Class was much better..since Olga repeated almost everything she did the day before.hee..watched last performance of swan lake from backstage. Semyon was the principal guy tonight..hee..he’s so good.so techinically secure thought a fe partnering hiccups..so proud to have him as my neighbour.yay!!

Hey it feels good not to be the tallest n skinniest anymore!! Yay! There’re pple much taller..the tallest girl is 1.8m..n skinnier.haha!

Oh we can call n order food at the company and they’ll deliver food to us there anytime. So dun worry..i’ve got meals settled.hee..just a matter of whether there’s time to eat…we work 6 full days a weer..mon to sat 11 to 6pm..geez..no wonder they say life is hard here..sure is man..we’ve had it way too easy over in sg n we were complaining and hoping for 5-day weeks..dancers also say there’s little chance of finishing early cos they usually have like whole company rehearsal at the very end..hai…no more finish work at 2 have lunch at PS Kopitiam and going home to take afternoon nap with mowie sleeping on my tummy anymore!! I miss everything back home!! My mowie baby..my room..cheap food like chicken rice n hokkien mee..being able to converse with anyone anywhere with singlish..chit chatting at work with everyone.hee..n definitely unlimited internet..unlike now takes AGES to tap on someone’s network just to get cut off minutes later..hai..but it’ll be better once we get our Korean ID then we can apply for everything!!

25th feb Sunday..my first day of work!

Ha..today is the second day of the company’s performance of swan lake so ther’s work..so class is at 12pm. Russian married couple next door walked me to the company..hee the Russian guy,Semyon is the very good principal dancer!! N his wife, Alevtina is Russian too..super nice pple..so she introduced me to a Romanian girl,Ioana who’s a veteran in the company for more than 10 years! N she’s super nice like whatever u need to noe just approach her for help..

Did my first class..Russian old lady Olga is girls’ teacher..gosh was a mess on the first day, after a day on the plane n also couldn’t adapt the Russian style n funny arms starighaway..n of course she being old doesn’t show anything..so half the time trying to figure out wat the exercises were.hee…after class sepnt the whole time with foo as they waited for performance to start.

Watched Universal Ballet’s performance for the first time with Brian Yoo and Julia Moon..if u dunno who they are..they are my bosses..he’s the Director n she’s the General Director (aka the big boss). Yikes!! Anyway, felt so stressed while watching cos I’ve to learn everything they performed in 3 weeks..cos I’ve got to do swan lake with them in a month!!! Oh no!! how to learn..geez..but man..their standard is really much higher..sorry to my dear frens in sdt..but honestly..they have to be since they do classical all year round..ok I’ve to be like them soon..stress stress…anyway..foo n I had a good dinner after..had to do all that charades stuff just to order food…fond memories huh…

24th feb: first day in Kimchi Land!

On the first day I arrive..24th feb sat morning..company employed black cab driver to drive me to my apartment..journey was 1 hour! Luckily there was tv in the cab to keep me entertained..may I please add too that I DID NOT puke on the plane! Hee..it’s a huge accomplishment k..even if to some of you it seems minuscule..

So..i’m staying alone in the apartment..it’s like a hotel room just bigger..2 single beds in the space..then kitchen in the corner n toilet..

Foo came to my apartment to meet me..oh it’s so nice to see him again!!! He looks good!!

Mowie was trying to squeeze a spot for herself in my suitcase so that i can bring her along with me..hai sorry baby...i wish i could but i cant bring u along with me...
she ain't too happy i took her out of the suitcase....sorry baby!!! i miss you!!

HELLo To Everyone back Home!!

Hello! Anyangha-sai-o! However you spell it..but that’s wat everyone says when they greet or when u walk into shops. My first days in Kimchi Land has been ok..still thinking whether I was insane to have made this decision to come here..to leave my comfortable home where I dun have to pay rent..leave my cute cute cat who’s so attachedtome..n I bet missing me n wondering where I am now..n to leave my frens n family..hai..

Nevermind..the only way to improve as a dancer is to leave so I have to cos I’m not the kind to rest on my laurels and rot in sg for the rest of my life..have to make full use of time while I’m still young!! But the minute I joined this company..hai..i feel old..seriously..anyway..i’ll keep u updated with wat happens here in my life in Kimchi Land and u can join me on my journey and see if I can ride through it..n we’ll see if there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
